About the Act
EXTENDED BIO RISING SUN is a Naarm-based DJ project by Ebony Keegan (also known as Lunar), shaped through over eight years of dancefloor devotion, community immersion, and sonic exploration. Moving fluidly across tribal, ethnic, Afro house, melodic house, and techno, Rising Sun crafts deep, percussive journeys that honour rhythm as ritual and dance as a shared, universal language. Each set is guided by movement, texture, and emotional arc—designed to draw people inward while connecting them outward to the collective pulse of the floor. Inspired by global sounds and diverse cultural influences, Rising Sun weaves ancient tonalities and organic percussion with forward-driving electronic production. The result is immersive, grounded, and emotive—music that invites presence, release, and connection. At its core, Rising Sun exists to represent diversity, movement, and unity. It creates spaces where the dancefloor becomes ceremony, where bodies move together instinctively, and where rhythm dissolves boundaries. This is music for shared moments, deep listening, and communal energy—rooted in respect for the past while moving boldly forward.
